Myler Level 1 Dee Ring

The Myler Bit
system is built around the idea that as your horse progresses through training,
what they need from their bit changes. Each level represents a different means
of communication with your horse and as your horse graduates through the levels
you’ll re-bit to adjust how you communicate.

Myler Level 1
Bits are for horses who are young or have just begun their training. Here horse’s
are learning the basics including transitions, gaits, and responsiveness. The
following are attributes of Myler Level 1 Bits:

• Curved mouthpiece
  allowing your horse to swallow easily.
• Straight
  mouthpiece applying more evenly distributed pressure across the tongue.
• Restrict and
  Release at the Poll—with pressure from the reins the mouthpiece collapses
  inwards once your horse relaxes at the poll the pressure is released.
• Copper Inlay—encourages
  your horse to salivate and more readily accept the bit.
